This is a timetable of the weekly activities happening in Birkenhead Park.

Some of them are FREE such as Health Walks, Yoga and Sunday Tennis.

Just contact the Visitors Centre below and they will give you details of any charges.


Meet at Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre unless stated otherwise.

Monday

Buggy Park Fitness 10am.

Health on Wheels 10am. Booking essential. Call 01925 234213. Resumes 16th January.

Health Walk 11am.

British Military Fitness 7pm.

Tuesday

Couch to 5K (beginners’ running group) 5.30pm. Call 0151 514 6291 to register. From 10/1/12.

Run in England 6.00 – 6.45pm (Beginners/Family Session)

Wednesday

Nordic Walking 6.45pm Meet at Birkenhead Park Cricket club. Call 07971333000.

Friends of Birkenhead Park Volunteers 10am.

British Military Fitness 7pm.

Thursday

Wheels For All 10:00am – 2pm. Booking essential. Call 01925 234213.Resumes end of February

Run in England 6.00 – 6.45pm at Birkenhead Sixth Form College (Beginners/improvers).

Friday

The Visitor Centre is open from 9am to 4:30pm daily.

Phoenix is the editor of this site and was diagnosed with bipolar twenty years ago. In between 8 periods of illness and hospitalisation she trained as a garden designer and was a awarded an RHS Diploma, gained a first class degree in Cultural Studies and a Certificate in Education that enables her to lecture in Recovery in Mental Health to psychiatric nurse students and mental health professionals at universities. Phoenix leads a diverse life which she attributes to Wellness Recovery Action Planning and all aspects of Recovery. In the last 2 years she performed stand up comedy. Laughter truly is the best medicine! Now she is concentrating on being involved in improving conditions for inpatients and service receivers trustwide. And training in WRAP, Recovery Star and the new Advanced Statement and some gardening for health. Also with some great new art projects.
