My New Year’s Resolutions – Its a Start!

My New Year’s Resolutions.

I love this time of year. All the stress of Christmas behind us and the days slowly getting lighter with snowdrops pushing through to remind us that spring is on its way.

The best thing I like is the chance of a new beginning for a New Year.  To learn from the past year and move forward wiser and stronger.

I always make some New Year’s resolutions but try and not make too many and definitely those that are genuinely do-able. If you ask too much of yourself you will only set yourself up to fail. And that’s not the point at all!

So heres my list.

  1. Take more time to spend with people I like and doing things I like doing.
  2. Saying no without feeling guilty. This will give me more time to do above.
  3. Stop watching mindless telly and read more. (I gave up soaps last year and never looked back)
  4. Do more outdoor walking.
  5. Write some articles or scripts.
  6. Do more art.
  7. Get back on track with my 5 a day and healthy eating.

I think that will be enough for now.

If I do all of the above the knock on effect may be that I lose some weight and think about giving up smoking. But if I include  them then there’s a chance of failure and I dont want that as an option.

What will you be resolving to do in this New Year ahead?
