Response will listen, tell you what you want to know and offer support; this includes counselling, help with drug & alcohol misuse and help with benefits & housing issues.

Housing support

Advice, guidance and support is provided to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Response is the gateway for 16 & 17 year olds, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. There is a Housing duty worker Monday – Friday (9am-4pm) to assess the needs of young people who present as homeless. Where appropriate, staff will mediate between young person and their families to encourage young people to remain/return home, where this is safe to do so.

If young people require advice, guidance or support and are not homeless that day they can contact Response to make an appointment with a Housing support worker.

Intensive support is offered to young people (16-18 years old) who are homeless. This includes both practical and emotional support and providing home/placement visits.
