Afternoon Tea on the Wirral

New find! The Waiting Room Cafe.

Nostalgic, quirky and simply fabulous food and welcome!

It was like stepping back in time to my fondly remembered childhood visits to Victoria Road cafes. The decor is so atmospheric and I felt like I was sitting on a vintage train! The food is fresh and delicious with fantastic, super-friendly and efficient service from Carole, the most engaging owner. Crispy, crinkle chips as a side were simply the best! Excellent value too with a proper cup of tea. The cafe shares its space with a model shop which just adds to the uniqueness of this experience. I highly recommend a visit and look forward to returning to try a high tea as the home-made cakes looked fab! A very special place with 100% 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor.
