mmmm I had to say no recently and felt really uncomfortable and sorry for the person I was saying no to.

The daft thing was if I had said yes I would have got myself into a load of debt....

A shop assistant who was so sweet and helpful had spent ages supporting me to choose items I needed. After almost an hour the assistant sweetly added up the total cost :(

I started feeling uneasy, hot and embarrassed......

I had wasted so much of this persons time and I worried if they would get in trouble if they did not get the sale.......

Well I took a deep breath and apoligised for wasting time, thanking the assistant but said NO....

OMG I felt embarrassed, guilty, ashamed but WHY.....

In the past I would have just gone along with the sale, even knowing that if I waited the price would drop or if I just searched a bit more I would probably find a more reasonable price....
What a mug hey I would have got into debt to save upsetting a shop assistant lol.

So I am feeling quite proud of myself lol such a silly thing really and the shop assistant has not been sacked or beamed into space she took the details of my order in case I returned after the new year which could be used in any future sales

So saying NO saved me a small fortune.

Saying no is very difficult to begin with especially when people are used to you saying yes all the time. They often take it personally but get over it eventually. Then they will learn to respect you and your time as they respect their own. Its all about self esteem. Saying yes all the time often means you are worried people will not like you if you say no. Only when you learn to like yourself then those fears subside. If people dont respect that then they are really not worthy of your worry in first place.

Hey there

This is all great stuff.... :)

How about practicing saying YES to your day with what ever it brings looking for the best in everything.

Then saying NO nicely without the guilt and worry of upsetting others when you know you are rushed, stressed or just plain knackerd even
broke .

Saying NO can be the hardest thing for many of us but sometimes it is about being kind to yourself and putting you first, not cruel or mean maybe just self preservstion ...... So if you can when you say no give yourself a big hug or a pat on the back as you are the most important one here.
Anyone else had an issue saying NO even when you know you should?
